Once a fortnight between September and June we meet in homegroups for worship, prayer, bible study and discussion. This is an informal setting where everybody is encouraged to get involved.
We start off with a cup of tea or coffee in a relaxed atmosphere at 7.30pm. This is followed by worship and prayer, then we have a time of study and open discussion. The homegroup leaders provide pastoral care for those in their group under the leadership of Pastor David and Esther Waters. If you would like to know more about our homegroups then please contact us.
The Importance Of Home Groups
We believe that it is hugely important to come together in small groups and invest some time in discussion. The word 'edification' - meaning 'to encourage spiritual improvement' - is often used in relation to home groups, being central to the whole ethos. It means that each member plays a part in developing and strengthening the other members' spiritual wellbeing, guided by the group leader.
Small groups play a significant part in developing a person's life within the church - alongside, not instead of, the Sunday morning service. We actively encourage all members of the church community to join a group.
