Children

Our Children's ministry is two-fold, taking the form of Roots and Shoots - teaching sessions on a Sunday morning - and Supergang - our Wednesday evening group for children.

Children are the tent poles of any church, being both its future and very much part of its present. We believe in providing for them an environment that is fun, supportive and in which they are free to ask any questions they may have.

In Supergang we currently use three teaching resources written by Mark Griffiths, that are tailored to each take a year to progress through. We find they are a fun and engaging way of presenting solid biblical truths and the children really enjoy them. Furthermore, all of our workers are CRB checked to ensure the children can come together in a secure environment.

We actively encourage all of the children in Supergang to take up a membership with The Treasure Kids Network- the Children's branch of AOG. Membership is free, but as a member the children receive the Treasure Kids magazine every term, which is a fun combination of activities and tips for how to grow in their faith.

The vision statement of Supergang is:
We use material that is up to date and relevant to today's children. We aim to share clearly the gospel of Jesus to create an atmosphere of fun and safety where children can be encouraged to grow in their faith.

If we are to win children to Jesus, we must learn to communicate to them effectively and passionately.
